Starlight Investments, in conjunction with WP Osborne Executive Search, is seeking a Treasury Payment Specialist to join their Treasury group.
Treasury Payment Specialist
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Treasury, the Treasury Payment Specialist will support the team in the overall cash management process, including cash position reporting and payment execution, short-term cash flow forecasting, with a focus on developing scalable processes to support the company’s growth trajectory. This role supports the execution of payments and liquidity management across a growing real estate investment platform with multiple portfolios, banking partners, and funding structures.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience executing high-volume corporate payments, managing banking relationships, and operating within a treasury or cash management environment. Experience with wire payments, EFT/ACH processing, cash positioning, and treasury management systems is strongly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities: Initiate daily outgoing payments (Wires, ACH, EFT, FX) via Kyriba treasury management system to meet vendor payments & debt obligations; Monitor cash balances and transactional activity across all portfolios, proactively identifying and communicating cash requirements and ensuring sufficient liquidity is available before initiating payments; Monitor daily overdrafts and fund accounts on a timely basis; Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, failures or bank related issues across our global banking relationships; Support the treasury team with the bank account opening & closing process, updating signing authorities and completing KYC documents; Work with Accounts Payable in analyzing aging invoices, determining payment schedules, and verifying cash impact across all portfolios; Manage long-term cashflow forecasting models for select portfolios to provide the leadership team with visibility on future cash requirements; Work with the Treasury team to identify and implement treasury-related process and reporting improvements.
Qualifications The Treasury Payment Specialist will possess a University Degree in Accounting/Business, with 2+ years of treasury/payments experience; advanced Excel skills; strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. This candidate will be able to deal with confidential information, demonstrating reliability and dependability; and be a detail-oriented, self-directed, resourceful, analytical thinker who can deliver results in a deadline-driven environment. Experience in the residential real estate industry is considered an asset.

Compensation The compensation structure is comprised of a base salary that is market competitive and based on factors such as experience, education, designations, and skillset. It also includes a discretionary annual performance bonus tied to weighted performance targets and company performance, medical/dental benefits, healthcare spending accounts, tiered employer matching group retirement savings plan and parking/Presto allowance. Other benefits include maternity top-up, investment opportunities in the company’s funds, summer office hours, annual company-wide volunteer day and many more.
