Logistics Associate - HERD

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Employment Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday

We are a leading manufacturer of truck bumpers, committed to delivering top-quality products on time, and we are looking for a Logistics Associate who will play a critical role in this mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customs Clearance & International Shipments:

  • Prepare and manage all customs documentation for overseas shipments.

  • Ensure compliance with USA and Canadian import/export regulations.

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

  • Materials Handling & Knowledge:

  • Apply expertise in steel and aluminum, including country of melt and pour knowledge, to support material handling, inventory management, and production coordination.

  • Order Fulfillment & Transportation:

  • Build shipments according to the production line schedule.

  • Create stock transfer and customer orders, ensuring accurate processing and on-time shipment.

  • Arrange transportation and schedule pickups with carriers and logistics providers.

  • Prepare and manage all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.

  • Generate daily shipment invoice reports and end-of-month shipment summaries for management.

  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance:

  • Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of logistics experience, with proven experience in customs clearance for international shipments (USA & Canada).
  • Strong understanding of steel and aluminum materials, including country of melt and pour knowledge.
  • Excellent computer, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
