Job Summary
The Financial Officer is responsible for providing financial management and support to the Business Administration and Finance unit. This includes budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage budgets for various departments.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures.
- Provide support for audits and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation is an asset.
- Experience in a higher education environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Other Relevant Details
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
