Role Description The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Woodlyns in Toronto, ON. This role supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, including supervising front-of-house staff, coordinating shift schedules, and ensuring smooth service throughout each day. The Assistant Restaurant Manager helps maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction, while responding to guest inquiries and resolving concerns promptly and professionally. Responsibilities include assisting with hiring and onboarding team members, coaching staff on service standards, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting basic administrative tasks such as reporting and cash handling. The role also contributes to implementing promotional activities, reinforcing safety and compliance practices, and fostering a positive, engaged team culture.
Qualifications
Strong customer-focused mindset with skills in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction. Experience supporting team growth through Hiring and effective Communication. Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including product quality, presentation, and safety standards. Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management, preferably in a supervisory or lead position. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Competence in basic point-of-sale (POS) systems and standard office software. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or business is an asset.
