About the role

We are working with a leading global engineering consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager / Seller-Doer to support the growth and delivery of municipal water services projects across Western Canada, with a particular focus on British Columbia. This is a high-impact role combining project delivery, client engagement, and business development, ideal for someone who enjoys leading work while remaining technically involved.

In this position, you will lead both the sales and execution of complex municipal infrastructure projects across areas such as drinking water and wastewater treatment, biosolids, pump stations, pipelines, water and sewer systems, and facility planning. You will operate within a well-established project delivery framework, supported by dedicated project controls, QA/QC teams, and contract administration resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Lead Project Manager on municipal water and wastewater projects
  • Drive business development through client engagement, networking, and proposal development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients and key stakeholders
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful delivery
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineering staff
  • Oversee QA/QC processes and review key project deliverables
  • Support and lead RFP responses, proposals, and client interviews
  • Collaborate with internal teams to position for upcoming project opportunities
  • Deliver high-quality client service to generate repeat business

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater engineering
  • Proven experience operating in a seller-doer capacity (winning and delivering work)
  • Experience managing projects valued at $1M+ preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • PMP, CCM, or DBIA certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • P.Eng preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills

This is an opportunity to join a globally recognised consultancy with a strong pipeline of work, access to best-in-class project management systems, and clear performance metrics tied to delivery and growth. You will play a key role in expanding a regional water practice within a collaborative and technically strong team environment. Travel is expected to be around 10%, depending on project requirements, with flexible working arrangements available across Western Canada.
