Job Overview
Are you passionate about building scalable data solutions that drive business impact? We're looking for a hands-on, driven Data Engineer to join our growing Data Warehouse & Analytics team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting critical analytics and BI initiatives across the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Data Warehouse & Analytics, you'll work primarily with Microsoft Fabric and bring your expertise in data integration, transformation, and reporting to help us make smarter, faster decisions powered by data. If you have 2–5 years of experience in data engineering and a knack for solving complex data challenges, we want to hear from you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric for data warehousing, transformations, and analytics workloads.
- Implement data models (Kimball, Inmon, dimensional modeling) to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Develop and deliver high-quality dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Use Python or Pyspark for integration, automation, data wrangling, and building reusable scripts.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all solutions.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Education, Training & Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, PowerBI Analyst) are highly desirable.
- Formal training or hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL tools, and BI platforms.
- Continuous learning mindset with willingness to stay updated on emerging data engineering and cloud technologies.
Skills & Abilities
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric.
- Proficiency in SQL (query tuning, optimization, stored procedures).
- Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling, Kimball, Inmon methodologies).
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or other cloud data integration tools.
- Exposure to at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of data governance and metadata management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for data solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid, 3 days in office.
- Some weekend work may be required
