Annual salary: $ 193,900.00 - 245,200.00
Position Highlights The Director of Digital Innovation, Platform & Analytics is a senior strategic leader responsible for driving the organization’s
digital Innovation & Data team by shaping and delivering AI enabled solutions that enhances business value, and outcomes.
This role leads high impact initiatives across a defined portfolio, responding to demand for AI solutions, scaling practical use
cases into production. In addition, this role will oversee the ongoing development of modern digital platforms, advancing
analytics and data governance capabilities, to move the organization towards data driven decision making.
The Director supports delivery of key platforms while ensuring all solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and cost
optimized. Additional responsibilities include driving Microsoft 365 (M365) value realization, transitioning select legacy
platforms and processes to cloud environments, and building operational capabilities related to monitoring, service health,
and cloud/AI financial operations. A cloud Centre of Expertise will be established to ensuring BC Hydro is adopts of cloud
solution continue to accelerate in a secure and financial responsible manner.
The role partners closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and key business units to identify opportunities,
shape the digital and AI strategy & adoption, and maintain alignment with organizational priorities, governance standards,
and risk frameworks, while fostering a culture of innovation and strong cross functional collaboration.
What you'll do
Digital Innovation & Strategy

Lead the vision, roadmap, and execution of the organization’s digital innovation strategy.

Identify emerging technologies and trends that can unlock new business value.

Champion a culture of experimentation, rapid prototyping, and continuous improvement.

Evaluate and prioritize digital initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with business goals.

Strengthen strong capabilities in data governance and analytics.
Platform Leadership
- Oversee the design, development, and governance of enterprise digital platforms (e.g., customer portals, data platforms,
integration layers, automation tools).

Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with architectural standards.
-
Drive platform modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, API strategy, and microservices.

Partner with IT and engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery and lifecycle management.
Analytics & Insights
- Build and lead the organization’s analytics strategy, including data governance, Business Intelligence, advanced analytics,
and AI/ML initiatives.
- Translate business needs into data-driven solutions that improve decision-making and performance.
- Oversee the development of dashboards, predictive models, and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Ensure data quality, accessibility, and ethical use of data across the organization.
Leadership & Collaboration

Lead cross-functional teams of product managers, data scientists, analysts, and platform engineers.

Collaborate with business leaders to understand needs and co-create digital solutions.

Manage vendor relationships and evaluate external partners, tools, and technologies.

Communicate progress, insights, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
Governance & Performance

Establish KPIs and success metrics for digital initiatives and platform performance.

Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Manage budgets, resource planning, and operational processes for the digital innovation portfolio.

What you bring
- Proven Leadership Experience: 7+ years in senior technology, digital, or AI leadership roles, with experience managing
large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), data analytics,
automation, and emerging digital technologies.
- Strategic & Analytical Skills: Ability to anticipate trends, assess business value, make data-driven decisions, and balance
short-term results with long-term strategy.
- Execution & Delivery Focus: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize initiatives, and deliver
measurable outcomes on time and within budget.
- Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, forecasting costs, tracking value realization, and making investment
recommendations for AI and cloud initiatives.
- Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence executives, business
leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
- People Leadership & Team Development: Track record of building high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams. Skilled
in coaching, mentoring, and fostering innovation.
- Communication & Presence: Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, business-friendly
language. Strong executive presence and influencing skills.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced
degree (Master’s or MBA) preferred.
