About the role
Full-time Educational Assistant (Grades 7-12)
J.T. Foster is a 7-12 school with approximately 200 students, located in Nanton, Alberta. We are seeking a Full-Time Education Assistant to support a variety of learners within our school community.
The position would start on August 26th, 2025 and conclude on June 26th, 2026.
The successful candidate;
- Builds strong rapport with students and creates a safe and caring learning environment;
- Works collaboratively as part of a supportive team of professionals;
- Has experience working in the classroom, in small group settings, and in one on one situations;
- Has experience with social emotional learning;
- Understands diverse learning needs (e.g., ADHD, autism, learning disabilities)
- Has the ability to work with students facing mental health needs.
Additionally, SIVA and First Aid training is an asset.
