What You Will Get To Do

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Accounting, the Part-Time Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support to various Financial Services accounting functions.
- Process daily bank deposits and arrange for armoured transportation pick up
- Scan cheques and upload to bank
- Enter debit card deposits in Workday
- Balance, prepare reconciliations and reports for accounts and statements on a recurring basis;
- Work and liaise with the team and other departments to provide information related to deposits and scanned cheques
- Prepare working papers and provides assistance as needed with external auditor
- Provides other back-up support within Financial Services as needed; and,
- Other duties as assigned.

You love to research and analyze problems: identifying, gathering and processing relevant information to determine possible solutions, evaluate them and make recommendations. As far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time. You’re always happy to learn new things and to help build a working environment that encourages and cultivates new ideas.
What You Bring To Our Team
As the successful applicant, you must possess:
- A three year post-secondary diploma/degree in Accounting, Finance or other equivalent with Accounting Major;
- Workday Finance experience would be an asset;
- Completion or enrolment in the Municipal Accounting and Finance Program (MAFP);
- A minimum of two (2) years of directly related work experience, preferably in a Municipal finance environment; and
- Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office, accounting related systems).
Salary Range/Hourly rate:
$23.89 - $26.59
