About the role
Norspan Engineered Wood Products is a Canadian owned and operated manufacturer that designs, builds, and sells roof trusses and floor systems across Central Canada. Using state-of-the-art technology including automated saws and lumber collectors, Norspan builds engineer approved structural systems for residential, commercial, and agricultural buildings. With a wide-ranging team made up of Sawyers, Designers, salespeople and more, Norspan is always looking for talented individuals to help grow our team.
We are currently seeking a Shipper & Receiver to join our team at our Martensville, Saskatchewan location. This role is critical to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers, while representing our company with professionalism and excellent customer service.
The Shipper & Receiver duties include but are not limited to:
- Receive incoming products in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete and ensure proper labeling and put aways once products are received.
- Prepare and hand off receiving paperwork.
- Monitor BisTrack for any upcoming delivery schedules.
- Plan, coordinate, and dispatch deliveries to project and customer sites.
- Ensure all deliveries and or pick-ups are accurate, timely, and free of damage.
- Mediate any customer delivery issues.
- Coordinate customer returns and all related paperwork.
- Communicating shipping and receiving information accordingly to the logistics team for further processing
- Contribute to warehouse maintenance.
- Comply with safety requirements and company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- One – three (1 – 3) years shipping and receiving experience required.
- Grade 12 diploma required.
- Bistrack experience is considered an asset.
- Forklift certificate or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Exceptional at customer service and working with in team environment.
- Exceptional internal and external communication.
