A career in our Finance Transformation practice, within Consulting services, will provide the opportunity to work alongside Finance leaders to optimize the structure of their finance functions, re-architect Finance processes and implement best-of-breed technology to enable their transformation journey. By work with clients to establish and deliver on their transformation roadmap to create value for Finance and beyond. Working in a diverse team, you will help our clients identify process, performance and people and lead the development of meaningful solutions to deliver sustainable change.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of PwC Canada is expanding its Finance Transformation practice and is seeking a Manager to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide Finance Target Operating Models (TOMs), organizational structure redesign and Shared Services Centre (SSC) strategies. This role is a strategic transformation role focused on helping CFOs reimagine how Finance operates - across structure, governance, processes, technology, service delivery models, and global capability centers.
You will work directly with senior finance leaders to design and stand up modern, scalable, digitally enabled finance organizations that drive innovation and deliver organizational value.
Engagement Delivery
- Lead engagements related to Finance Target Operating Model assessment, design, build, and optimization across finance, accounting, and operational processes
- Redesign finance organizational structures aligned to strategic objectives
- Define role clarity, spans/layers, and accountability model
- Develop business cases for SSC/GBS builds and expansions
- Lead location strategy and centralization assessments
- Design service catalogues, SLAs, KPIs, and chargeback models
- Support end-to-end SSC build, migration, and stabilization
- Quantify business case cost/benefits, productivity improvement, and control enhancement opportunities
- Build financial models supporting transformation investments
- Guide clients through change management strategies, stakeholder alignment, executive communications, capability building, and operating model transitions
- Lead multi-workstream teams across process, people, and technology changes
- Integrate ERP (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc) initiatives within broader Finance target operating model designs
Engagement Management
- Support engagement leadership (Director/Partner) in managing scope, risks, and project economics
- Track progress against objectives; identify and mitigate issues and risks
- Build and maintain effective relationships with client stakeholders
- Contribute to planning, review, and quality assurance of engagement deliverables
- Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to junior team members
Business & People Development
- Contribute to proposal development, including story lines, analyses, and writing
- Collaborate with cross-functional PwC teams to shape solutions for Finance Consulting opportunities.
- Share knowledge and reusable assets across PwC network
- Support development of thought leadership and point-of-view materials
Experience And Skills You’ll Use To Solve
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; CPA or MBA is an asset
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance Transformation Consulting or large-scale Shared Services / GBS builds
- Preference for individuals with experience working in a consulting environment
- Exposure to ERP-enabled transformation (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.)
- Knowledge of Finance end-to-end process flows (procure to pay, order to cash, plan to perform, record to report, hire to retire, etc)
- Proven track record leading teams in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder engagements
- Experience with Finance modernization strategies, operating models, service delivery models, organizational structures, opportunity prioritization, and transformation roadmaps
- Experience with continuous improvement / innovation programs
- Ability to lead clients through complex change
- Excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills

The salary range for this position is $112,400 - $162,400. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
