THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client, a well-established consulting engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Stormwater & Water Resources Engineer to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead impactful municipal infrastructure projects involving stormwater management, flood and drainage planning, low impact development, climate resilience, and water resources planning. You will play a key role in delivering complex projects, building client relationships, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
Growing and expanding the organization’s stormwater and water resources practice across Alberta. Building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and leading multidisciplinary teams in the successful delivery of innovative projects. Managing the planning, design, and execution of a broad range of stormwater and water resources projects, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management plans, low impact development design, flood risk assessments, flood management strategies, and related initiatives. Identifying client needs, understanding project objectives and constraints, and developing tailored solutions that align with each client's goals, regulatory requirements, and decision-making processes. Mentoring, coaching, and providing technical guidance to intermediate and junior team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA. 13+ years of progressive experience in stormwater and water resources engineering or a related field. Demonstrated experience managing projects and building strong client relationships. Proven expertise leading and delivering a broad range of stormwater and water resources planning and design projects, including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater management, and related infrastructure initiatives. Experience providing technical leadership, mentorship, and quality review for intermediate and junior engineering staff. Established client network and business development experience is considered a strong asset. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
