BGC Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking individuals interested in the following position:
Competition Number: GC0626 Position(s) Available: One (1) Status: Full-Time Position Salary Range: $57,000-$63,000 annually
The key responsibilities of this position will include:
· Participating in the overall granting process, supporting the collection and analysis of relevant information from BGCBigs departments to form the basis of proposals, grant applications, and donor stewardship reports. · Responsibility for the completion of a select portfolio of grants including researching new opportunities, managing timelines and regular reviews. · Creating and maintaining up-to-date data, documents, reports, correspondence and schedules to support grant administration, data retrieval and reporting. · Assisting with donor stewardship and relationship management that includes developing, cultivating and expanding relationships with donors and assisting in providing new donor opportunities. · Writing, preparing and distributing donor correspondence including recognition correspondence. · Assisting with fund raising events to promote monetary giving. Key activities include, but are not limited to; Dream Home Lottery, Renew Crew Donation Bins, Golf Tournament and Evening of Opportunity. · Ensuring exceptional donor records are kept on donors including profile information, history, relationships and funded interests. The successful candidate will have: · A degree in a related field (Business, Human Services, Communications) with a focus in the area of project management. Alternate education credentials will be considered and supported with considerable experience in the field. · 5 years of experience in a role involving grant writing, executive assistance, fund raising and/or donor stewardship, · Excellent written communication and editing skills; demonstrated ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals. · Ability to plan and make decisions in a timely, organized and appropriate manner. · A proactive approach to known opportunities and the ability and desire to identify new opportunities for funding. · Excellent relationship building skills. · Technical skills; solid knowledge base of information management systems and databases and proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs. · Ability to function independently and as part of a team · Ability to embrace and practice the agencies equity, diversity and inclusion philosophy and integrates this practice into their work and agency messaging. · Able to work flexible hours occasionally including evening and weekend availability. Agency operates with a 37.5 hours per week. · A clear Police Information Check and Child Intervention Record Check no more than 6 months old are conditions of hire. · A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
