Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON, for a Crane (material handler) operator. The role entails the operation of material handlers to move, handle, and process various ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals safely and efficiently. Daily tasks include inspecting and maintaining your equipment, performing lifting operations, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational guidelines. The Crane Operator will work closely with other team members to meet productivity goals and maintain quality workflows.
Qualifications
Proficiency in operating cranes and lifting equipment used in metal recycling processes Experience in lifting operations, including loading and unloading heavy materials safely Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and regular operational inspections Attention to detail for consistent monitoring of equipment and procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Strong awareness of workplace safety practices and protocols Previous experience in the metal recycling or manufacturing industry is an asset Minimum 5 years experience
