Your Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity awaits within Addictions and Mental Health Edmonton Zone. The Day Hospital is seeking a casual Administrative III to join our interdisciplinary team. The Edmonton Day Hospital addresses a systemic gap and is designed as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization that specializes in engagement and short-term acute care stabilization. The Day Hospital is located at Alberta Hospital Edmonton and is a dynamic and fast paced environment dedicated to best practice patient and family centered care. Groups and individualized patient support will be delivered by an interdisciplinary collaborative care team in accordance with the Edmonton zone Addiction & Mental Health program’s Principles of Care and AHS values. Successful applicants require knowledge, skill, and judgment in providing administrative services to clients and family members impacted by an addiction or mental health concern. Successful applicants will be provided with an enriched and expanded orientation, non-violent crisis intervention training, and ongoing coaching. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Two years of working within an Addiction and Mental Health environment is required. Two years of recent related administrative experience, including customer service and conflict resolution experience required. Accurate data entry and attention to detail skills required. Excellent multitasking skills required. Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills required. Demonstrated knowledge navigating through and working with a variety of computer applications including; Connect Care, Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook email is required. Excellent problem resolution skills required. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment with constant interruptions and changing work demands required. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team. This position supports direct patient interactions throughout the service area. Must be able to respond/assist in emergent situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields would be an asset.
