Purpose of the role The person in this role will be responsible for reviewing the company’s total compensation offering and making the necessary changes based on analysis to ensure we stay competitive across different markets. In collaboration with the Human Resources leadership team, they will oversee all compensation-related activities, with the goal of supporting the organization’s mission while staying aligned with its culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comparative analyses, review our salary grids and bonus/commission structures, and provide targeted recommendations.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations, present them effectively to leadership, and support the preparation and delivery of presentations for the HR team and senior management.
  • Analyze and apply salary changes in Dayforce’s compensation module, as well as contribute to the rollout of special projects and improvements to compensation processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on pay equity analyses and market benchmarking using tools such as Salary.com.
  • Play an active role in the delivery of compensation programs, including annual salary reviews, bonuses, incentive plans, and pay transparency initiatives.
  • Help identify and resolve issues related to our systems and tools, interpret results, and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of compensation data and job structures in Dayforce.
  • Partner with managers and the HR team to support performance and foster employee engagement.
  • Build and track dashboards and performance indicators to monitor workforce activity.
  • Contribute to the creation, implementation, and follow-up of various HR projects, tools, documents, and programs.

  • Strategic compensation: You have solid experience in both direct and variable compensation, including bonus and commission systems, which you manage with precision and efficiency.
  • Insightful decision-making: You analyze data with accuracy and know how to turn it into concrete recommendations that drive business decisions.
  • Influence and collaboration: You bring ideas forward with tact and diplomacy, while collaborating smoothly with managers and senior leadership.
  • Organization and execution: Autonomous, structured, and proactive, you manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising on quality or attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and judgment: You blend strong analytical skills with sharp on-the-ground instincts and a constant desire to learn and improve.
  • Builder’s mindset: You’re eager to actively contribute to a company in transformation and take part in meaningful, forward-looking projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and analytics.
  • Experience with HRIS and Power BI (a strong asset).
  • Bilingualism in French and English (The person must communicate outside Quebec);
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills — you know how to make data speak for itself.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
