What You'll Be Doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Digital Technology team. As an iOS Developer, you will contribute to CIBC’s digital transformation by assisting in the development and maintenance of iOS applications that enhance the client experience. You’ll work on mobile projects in collaboration with experienced team members, gaining exposure to banking technology and modern development practices. You will have opportunities to learn from senior developers, participate in team initiatives, and build your skills in a supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute to tier-1 banking applications, gain insights into the banking domain, collaborate with a team of experienced professionals, and work on modern transformative projects such as Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) migration and AI enablement initiatives.

How You'll Succeed
- Programming Skills:Develop code and test iOS applications for straightforward assignments using Swift, Xcode, and relevant iOS frameworks. Review, evaluate, and modify iOS programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging to ensure application quality and performance. Follow established coding standards and best practices for iOS development.
- Systems Implementation: Participate in the technical design, development, and integration of iOS application systems, ensuring compatibility across multiple devices and platforms. Assist with the integration of backend services and third-party libraries as directed by senior team members. Support the deployment and optimization of iOS applications within cross-functional environments.
- Planning and Coordination: Interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications for iOS applications, as instructed by senior team members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design and delivery of user-centric mobile solutions. Communicate progress and challenges to senior developers, seeking guidance as necessary.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate 1-3 years of experience in iOS development: with hands-on experience in native iOS development, with a solid foundation in Swift, Xcode, and iOS frameworks such as UIKit and SwiftUI. You are comfortable with Object-Oriented Design principles and have experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating third-party libraries. You have practical experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) and writing unit tests to maintain code quality. You have contributed to the development and deployment of iOS applications, participating in the full software development lifecycle. You are proactive in learning new tools and technologies and open to feedback that helps you grow as a developer. You possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and you can troubleshoot and debug issues in iOS applications. You communicate effectively, collaborate well with team members, and are committed to delivering high-quality solutions. You value trust, teamwork, and accountability, and you strive to contribute positively to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
