Our client, a third-generation family-owned company specializing in general construction, is growing and looking for a Construction Estimator to join its team. Reporting to management, you’ll be responsible for project estimation, tender management, and bid follow-ups, while ensuring project quality and profitability.

Tasks
- Read and analyze plans and specifications to prepare cost and material estimates.
- Evaluate projects and estimate required costs and materials.
- Prepare tender packages and analyze received bids.
- Draft and compile submissions in collaboration with management.
- Contribute to the management and tracking of ongoing projects.
- Ensure adherence to project budgets and schedules.
- Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and compare pricing.
- Participate in site visits when required.
- Perform any other related tasks contributing to project success.

Job requirements
- 1 to 5 years of experience in estimating or project management in a similar construction environment in Quebec.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of project management software (Procore, strong asset).
- Solid understanding of construction materials and methods.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent command of spoken and written French.
- Ability to work on-site and travel to project locations as needed.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree (BAC) in estimation, civil engineering, or a related field (asset).
