Velocity Truck Centre Canada, formally known as First Truck Centre, has an exciting opening for a Shipper / Receiver - Driver at our Surrey, BC branch. This role is responsible to maintain a clean and well-manicured warehouse and document inventory that both comes in and out of the branch.
Compensation Plan
- Attractive Compensation: Competitive hourly rate up to $27.75/hr. with a minimum base hourly rate of $25.25/hr.

Primary Job Functions
- Shipping, receiving, documentation, and inventory of products incoming and outgoing from the warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Accurately label, sort, and store incoming parts in designated locations.
- Pick and pack parts orders for internal departments, customers, and branch transfers.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, documentation, and carrier coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory transactions in the system.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area.
- Communicate with the parts team and other departments to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Maintains the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition.
- Participating in inventory counts.
- Attend all training sessions to update technical knowledge.
- Drive company vehicle to receive and deliver parts when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in shipping / receiving.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.
- Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
- Excellent Computer skills to maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, and other computer work that may be required.
- Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
- Hold and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract.
- Excellent communications skills both verbally and written.
- Forklift experience is an asset (training will be provided).
- Previous experience in the Heavy Duty / Large Truck industry or automotive industry is considered an asset.
