We’re looking for our first Business Development Lead to help us bring AceUnlock to market and build lasting relationships in the HR and recruitment space. You’ll be responsible for opening doors, closing early deals, and laying the foundation for our go-to-market strategy.

This is a future opportunity for someone with proven B2B sales experience who is excited to join an early-stage startup. The role will be primarily commission-based with potential equity upside, designed to reward results and align incentives as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and engage with HR leaders and recruiters in industries where high-volume hiring is critical — hospitality, retirement homes, consulting, and services companies in the tech sector.
  • Own the full sales cycle: outreach, discovery, demos, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Leverage your HR network to generate warm introductions and accelerate traction.
  • Position AceUnlock as the go-to platform for companies suffering from slow hiring processes, showing how our AI video interviewer can interview candidates at scale and surface the best fits quickly.
  • Develop and refine messaging, sales playbooks, and GTM strategies for early customers.
  • Provide market feedback to the product team to influence roadmap and features.
  • Represent AceUnlock at industry events, career fairs, and networking opportunities.
  • Help design pilot programs with early adopters and ensure customer success post-sale.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally selling SaaS into HR, recruitment, or talent markets.
  • Proven track record of closing deals and hitting or exceeding quotas.
  • Strong existing network in HR, TA, or people operations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to run demos with confidence.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is motivated by commission and upside potential.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — willing to roll up your sleeves and build from scratch.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling HR tech, ATS, or recruitment platforms.
  • Background in building sales playbooks or scaling BD processes in a startup.
  • Knowledge of integrations with HRIS/ATS platforms (Greenhouse, Workday, etc.).

Compensation & Incentives

We believe the right person for this role will be motivated by upside and ownership, not a fixed salary. This is a commission-driven opportunity designed to reward results.

  • Generous Commission : Earn 15–20% of revenue on every deal you close.
  • Equity Participation : As an early commercial hire, you’ll also receive stock options. When AceUnlock grows, you share directly in that success.
  • No Cap on Earnings : Unlike traditional sales roles, there’s no ceiling here. The more you sell, the more you make.
  • Option to Add a Short-Term Draw: For the right candidate, we’re open to discussing a short-term draw or guaranteed minimum while you ramp your pipeline.
