Ocean Import Associate - 18 Month Contract
About the role
Mandate:
Reporting to the Freight Manager, the Ocean Import Associate is responsible for tracking and tracing ocean shipments. The candidate will also interact daily with origin offices and partners, uphold the responsibility for managing pre-alerts, and carrier documentation, including manifests and invoices. Lastly, the candidate will manage vendor payables and perform other relevant administrative duties within the Ocean Import department.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in ocean freight operations including knowledge of carrier documentation
College degree in the Logistics field is considered an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
CIFFA designation is considered an asset
Experience in CargoWise One system is considered an asset
