Managing Broker, Burlington Branch
Description:
As an integral member of the Right at Home Realty team, the Managing Broker provides overall management, direction and leadership to the branch real estate agents and employees, as well as acts as the direct line between the corporate office and your location. This position requires a leader who is self-motivated that can recruit new and experienced agents, lead and mentor agents and office staff, and manage the daily operations of this full-service busy branch office effectively and efficiently. Sales support, customer service, relationship management and marketing are all within the scope of this role. This non-selling Managing Broker is deeply committed to supporting the growth of the team and mastering their own skills to be a contributing member of the organization. Additionally, as the Burlington branch has two Managing Broker positions, the incumbent will be highly comfortable in an environment of collaboration, shared and divided responsibilities, and achieving objectives as a team.
Responsibilities:

Devote your full attention and ability to the business and affairs of the Brokerage and provide consistent leadership, mentorship and customer service to agents and branch staff.

Support the agents and branch staff in the achievement of their professional goals and job responsibilities, while keeping them abreast of industry information and changes to rules and regulations by governing bodies.

Be a driver of branch growth through the recruitment of agents to achieve annual goals

Interview and recruit both new and experienced agents, introduce them to our program, review policies and procedures and assist with onboarding.

Organize and lead sales meetings, training presentations and branch events that support agent retention and the achievement of annual retention objectives.

Makes certain that all practices are in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures, Code of Ethics and/or Code of Business Conduct.

Determines the appropriate compensation packages for administrative and support staff.
-
Ensure that branch staff are fully onboarded and trained and that the administrative needs of the branch are being met.
-
Assist administration to ensure compliance with all real estate laws, rules, and regulations.
-
Evaluates the performance of Sales Representatives and staff and works with them to continually improve performance.

Plans for succession of administrative and other support staff.
-
Ensures delivery of a quality service level to the public and acts as a contact with the public.

Field complaints and requests in a professional manner working together to reach a mutual outcome for both parties.

Effectively handle all consumer and colleague complaints including legal actions from RECO and Boards with support and input from head office and corporate counsel.

Resolves serious complaints from the public and acts as arbitrator between Sales Representatives.

Cooperatively implement the approved annual operating plan.

Participate in scheduled management meetings.

Investigate, organize, and follow up on specific projects or proposals as requested by management.

Participate and support in RAHR sponsored training and development programs.

Stay current in the real estate industry via research, meetings, conferences, and industry networks.

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with associate brokers and competitors

Promotes the Company and develops business within the area investigating opportunities for RAHR to participate in community events, and building an inclusive and positive culture in the community.

Promote a positive attitude and atmosphere throughout the branch.

Maintain a tidy, organized and efficient branch office.

Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in real estate
- 3-5 years management experience
- Registered Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Council of Ontario
- Good standing with Real Estate Board and RECO
- Additional certifications/designations are an asset
- Hands on knowledge of residential real estate brokerage and branch operations
- Well-developed business, financial and administrative management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, listening and communication skills
- Proficient in current technology with the ability to adapt to new technology
- Team player, approachable, supportive, positive, responsive, respectful, and transparent
- Clear communicator both written and verbally
- Ability to multi-task various projects while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Performance management: ability to plan and implement objectives and evaluate performance to ensure goal accomplishment
