The Department

Sandringham Hospital provides a range of health care services. The hospital works closely with community healthcare providers, including the Sandringham Ambulatory Care Centre (SACC) which is run by GPs who treat emergency patients with non-threatening conditions. Services provided include emergency, elective surgery, Specialist Clinics, dialysis, maternity, gynaecology, paediatrics, and general medicine.

The Role

The Operations Manager, Sandringham Hospital, is a key operational leadership role responsible for the management of resources, services and activities that support 24/7 hospital operation, patient access, and patient flow across the campus.

The role leads the implementation and oversight of patient access and flow strategies to support organisational objectives and optimise patient outcomes. Working closely with senior management, clinical leaders, and multidisciplinary teams, the Operations Manager ensures operational responses remail agile and responsive to changing patient demand and service requirements.

Experience And Qualifications Required

Experience in health management and leading dynamic operational teams

Current Registered Nurse Division 1 registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria Experience and working knowledge of patient access and flow strategies Experience and working knowledge of managing clinical team or service Evidence of relevant post graduate studies in healthcare highly desirable, preferable a Master’s qualification
