We are a Calgary-based coffee company with nine cafés in addition to our roasterie and HQ at the Simmons building in Calgary’s historic East Village. In addition, we operate a central commissary where we produce all of our savoury food and Hoopla Donuts for daily delivery to our retail locations.

We’re a dynamic, growing company, and we’re looking for a responsible individual to join our team as our Line Cook.

As Line Cook, you’ll take on a production role within Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters and report to both the cafe leader and director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Play a key role in food production and inventory management;
• Maintain and enhance our food, coffee and service quality by creating and embodying exceptional standards for our cafe team members
• Succeeding in all barista training and responsibilities expectations, which includes but are not limited to: welcoming guests in the cafe, taking orders through our POS system, preparing a variety of beverages, participating to restock and cleaning tasks, and performing opening and closing shifts;
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment;
• Working with our Cafe leaders and team members on any food quality issues to ensure any customer concerns are resolved efficiently;
• Providing excellent customer service showing empathy and kindness, and creating and nurturing long lasting relationships with patrons.;
• This position is located at our Seton location, there may also be shifts at our commissary kitchen located in Manchester and our Bridgeland and Marda Loop cafés (mandatory training shifts and voluntary coverage shifts)

PRE-REQUISITES:

-Open and immediate availability! We are looking for a candidate to join our team as soon as possible and to have flexible availability throughout the week, weekend included!

• An evident passion for food and customer service
• Preference given to candidates with prior culinary experience in a fast paced dynamic environment;
• Must be available to work statutory holidays and weekend shifts.
• Part time preferred - Full Time welcome
• Weekend and holiday availability mandatory -Live near Seton and/or in Calgary’s SE quadrant, or commute easily to the location
• Knowledge of Google workspace, Docs, Sheets & Gmail.
• Have the ability and desire to work in a rapidly changing environment that can be stressful at times. Multitasking skills are essential for success in this position.
