A Snapshot of Your Day Are you passionate about process improvement and quality assurance? We are offering an exciting internship opportunity this fall for driven students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
As an Operational Excellence and Quality Assurance Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals to assist in improving manufacturing processes, supporting quality initiatives, and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of production operations for instrument transformers. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn, contribute new ideas, and develop practical skills in a real-world setting.
Your Tasks:
- Support the design and optimization of manufacturing processes under guidance from Operational Excellence team members.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for instrument transformers.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to brainstorm and develop solutions to process challenges.
- Conduct basic inspections and assist with quality control checks to help ensure products meet required standards.
- Contribute to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects by performing research and supporting documentation efforts.
- Help provide basic technical assistance and training materials for production staff.
- Support maintaining and continuously improving the Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, processes under guidance of QA team members.
- Support internal audits to ensure compliance and readiness for external certifications.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong interest in process improvement, quality assurance, and manufacturing operations.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and an eagerness to collaborate with others.
- Willingness to learn SAP and other manufacturing tools (training will be provided).
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
