Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and performance-driven Director of Marketing – Capital Division, to lead all investor marketing, real estate marketing, and capital growth initiatives across Basecamp Resorts. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and works collaboratively with a large in-house marketing team and agency partners.

This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives investor lead generation, real estate sales, and capital raising performance for the Wildwood Investment Fund and Basecamp development projects.

You will oversee the full marketing funnel, from awareness to conversion, while leading campaign strategy, messaging, creative direction, and performance optimization. This includes managing multi-channel campaigns across digital and traditional media, building high-converting investor journeys, and ensuring all communications align with regulatory and brand standards.

Salary: $110K-135k

Shifts: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Calgary or Canmore with regular presence in both locations. Also open to remote.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Capital & Investor Marketing Strategy

  • Lead the marketing strategy for the Wildwood Investment Fund, focused on driving qualified investor leads and capital raise performance.
  • Define investor personas and segmentation strategies
  • Oversee investor communications including campaign messaging, positioning, and storytelling aligned with offering materials.
  • Own the design and optimization of end-to-end marketing systems, including acquisition (paid, organic, partnerships), conversion (landing pages, investor flows, booking journeys), lifecycle (CRM, retention, re-engagement)
  • Ensure all marketing aligns with applicable securities regulations and exempt market compliance standards.
  • Develop scalable marketing systems to support ongoing and future capital raises.

2. Real Estate Marketing & Sales Enablement

  • Lead marketing strategy for Basecamp’s real estate development projects (e.g., Timber Peak Suites, Revelstoke Suites, and future developments).
  • Develop and execute campaigns that drive qualified buyer leads and support sales velocity.
  • Oversee creation of marketing and sales tools including:
  • Sales decks and presentations
  • Brochures and digital assets
  • Renderings, lifestyle campaigns, and launch materials
  • Partner with internal teams and external brokers to align messaging and maximize conversions.

3. Campaign Strategy & Execution (Digital + Traditional)

  • Own the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across:
  • Paid media (Meta, Google, LinkedIn)
  • Email marketing and CRM
  • Website and landing pages
  • Social media
  • Traditional media (print, partnerships, sponsorships)
  • Lead media planning and buying strategy, including budget allocation and channel optimization.
  • Ensure campaigns are optimized for cost per lead, conversion rate, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Continuously test, iterate, and scale campaigns based on performance insights.

4. Creative, Content & Digital Experience

  • Provide strategic direction to the in-house creative team (design, web, photo, video) for all capital-related campaigns.
  • Oversee development of high-performing creative assets and content that resonates with investor and buyer audiences.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with Basecamp and Everwild brand standards.
  • Guide website and landing page strategy to improve user experience and conversion rates.

5. Analytics, Reporting & Performance Optimization

  • Own performance tracking and reporting across all capital marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor key metrics including:
  • Lead volume and quality
  • Cost per lead
  • Conversion rates
  • ROAS and campaign efficiency
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership to improve performance and scale growth.

6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead marketing team members supporting capital and real estate initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, sales teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Work closely with creative, digital, and external agency partners to deliver campaigns on time and on brand.
  • Align marketing strategies with broader company objectives across hospitality, wellness, and development.

7. Marketing Operations & Growth Infrastructure

  • Oversee marketing systems, automation, and lead management workflows.
  • Ensure seamless integration between marketing platforms, CRM systems, and sales processes.
  • Develop scalable processes for campaign execution, reporting, and asset management.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and performance.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of marketing experience, with 4–6+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading performance marketing campaigns with measurable results.
  • Experience supporting real estate, investment, hospitality, or development marketing is required.
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, lead generation, and campaign optimization.
  • Experience managing both digital and traditional media buying.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using digital advertising and CRM platforms.
  • Experience working with investor communications, fundraising campaigns, or private equity marketing is an asset.
  • Familiarity with exempt market regulations and investor marketing compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with creative and production teams.
