About the role
TOWNSHIP OF ST. CLAIR - EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT
The Township of St. Clair is seeking a motivated individual for a Part-time
Administrative Assistant, Fire position within the Emergency Services Department.
Working under the direction of the Director of Emergency Services/Fire Chief, this position is responsible for providing administrative support to the activities of the fire department and emergency services including record keeping, bookkeeping functions, assisting the Chief with the emergency plan and community alerting system.
Education and Qualifications
Required qualifications and experience include a one (1) year college diploma in Office Administration and one (1) year experience in a similar administrative role or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Related qualifications, training and experience to include computer proficiency
in spreadsheet and word processing software and database applications; excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders and answer questions in a highly professional and competent manner.
This position is available due to an existing vacancy. Compensation will be in
accordance with OPSEU Local 123 Collective Agreement. The rate of pay range is set at $26.02 – 30.91 per hour and the successful candidate will assume a 21-hour work week.
