Our expectations
Reporting to the Head of Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainable Development, as well as the RONA Foundation Board of Directors, the incumbent will play a key role in the Foundation’s strategic direction. The Director of the RONA Foundation will develop philanthropic strategies and oversee their implementation to maximize the Foundation’s social impact in the communities served by RONA. Through their leadership, they will play a decisive role in centering social responsibility within the organization and ensuring that the Foundation’s actions prioritize concrete and lasting benefits for our communities.
Your role
- Lead the Foundation’s philanthropic operations.
- Develop and plan the Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign strategy.
- Promote the Foundation and increase its visibility among stakeholders by developing high-impact communications strategies (website, newsletter, social media, press relations, ad placements, etc.).
- Act as the Foundation’s spokesperson.
- Represent the Foundation at charity events.
- Manage the Foundation’s annual Golf Day in collaboration with the events coordinator.
- Ensure effective management of human and financial resources.
- Manage the Foundation’s budget and fundraising goals.
- Participate in board meetings.
- Manage the donation and registration platform (Donna).
- Manage relations with non-profit organizations and partners.
- Analyze requests from organizations and make recommendations.
- Monitor organizations’ activities and measure the impact of the Foundation’s contributions.
- Collaborate with all internal RONA stakeholders (e.g., legal, finance, internal and external communications, store communications, marketing, affiliated dealers).
- Collaborate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
The skills we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree relevant to the position (e.g., Administration, Marketing, Communications)
- At least 10 years’ experience in organizational management and philanthropy
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- Autonomy, drive, and excellent adaptability
- Written and spoken bilingualism (French and English)
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of store operations (an asset)
