As our nextCNC Tool Pre‑Setter, you will play a critical role in supporting production by preparing, measuring, calibrating, and maintaining CNC tooling to ensure machining processes run safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and quality systems.

##What You’ll Be Doing
- Powering up, homing, and verifying CNC tool pre‑setter machines for operation
- Changing and calibrating pre‑setter spindle adaptors
- Setting up and adjusting heat‑shrink tooling to correct clamping and measurement parameters
- Measuring, cleaning, adjusting, and labeling cutting tools
- Using ultrasonic cleaners for tools and inserts
- Changing inserts in face mills and adjustable boring tools, including fine adjustments
- Changing drills, reamers, and end mills
- Following all Standard Work Instructions (SWIs)
- Inspecting tooling and holders for wear or damage and repairing or replacing as needed
- Maintaining tooling stations, insert inventory, and collecting scrap carbide
- Keeping work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Communicating tooling and production information between shifts
- Ensuring compliance with all Quality Management and Environmental Health & Safety systems
- Performing other related duties as required
##What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNC Machining Program Certificate or equivalent experience is an asset
- Working knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and practices
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive experience is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in mathematical measurements (mm/inches, precision measuring tools)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑based environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced production environment while maintaining quality
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
##Work Environment
- Indoor manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and temperatures
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Extended periods of standing and walking
- Shift work may include days, afternoons, nights, or continental schedules
- Overtime may be required
