We are currently hiring a General Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities and Maintenance team. This position plays an important role in maintaining buildings, grounds, and guest spaces to ensure a safe and positive experience for our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned maintenance work orders and record materials used
- Perform minor building repairs such as fixing faucets, unclogging toilets, replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets
- Assist with preventative maintenance and larger maintenance projects
- Support event room setup and teardown
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations in a timely manner
- Follow safety procedures and WorkSafeBC regulations at all times
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Perform snow removal and seasonal grounds maintenance
- Learn and assist with generator operation and emergency switch-over procedures
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- General maintenance or labour experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
- Ability to work on-call shifts when required
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and dependable work habits
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations
- Own basic hand tools considered an asset
- Experience with skid-steer or snow removal equipment considered an asset
Position Details:
- Full-time, year-round position
- Minimum 6-month commitment required
