We currently have an opportunity for a Food Safety & Quality Management Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team in Winnipeg, MB. This position is responsible for maintaining food safety and quality management preventative controls and programs, conducting audits to ensure compliance, and providing support to technical teams at the facilities as required. Responsibilities: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to provide QA and Food Safety info, data, and documentation to meet customer and regulatory needs Manage Corporate QA and Food Safety systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and certification standards Partner with Sales and Operations teams to ensure effective Food Safety preventive controls and programs Review food product labels, file regulatory registrations, and maintain Food Safety Document Control system Lead internal food safety audits at processing plants and report findings to leadership Stay up-to-date with food safety regulations, ensuring corporate systems remain compliant Qualifications: Degree in Science or related field, or two years' experience in QA and food safety Knowledge of food safety, QA, and food defense systems and practices Driven, motivated, and team-oriented with the ability to lead cross-functional teams Strong leadership skills with excellent communication, analytical, and investigative abilities Familiarity with Food Manufacturing (Oat Flaking, Wheat Flour, Edible Oils) is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office and food safety management Richardson provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan and training and career development opportunities.
