Reporting to: Manager, Business System Analysis

Location: Mississauga, Corporate Office

Greenfield is looking for a Vena Business System Analyst to join our growing team.

Position Overview

As a Vena Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in bridging Finance and IT to deliver efficient, data-driven financial processes. Reporting to the IT Business System Analysis Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for Vena, partnering with Finance to optimize budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing scalable Vena models, templates, and workflows
  • Integrating data from Dynamics 365, Azure and other sources
  • Enabling self-serve reporting and automation to accelerate close cycles and improve decision-making

You will also explore opportunities to leverage AI (including Vena Copilot) for predictive insights and process automation, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications: CPA, CFA, PMP.
  • Strong understanding of FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis) and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Dynamics 365 and project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel up to 15% as needed.
  • Demonstrates integrity, respect, and adaptability while modeling company core values.
  • Strong collaborator who builds cross-functional relationships to achieve common goals.

Your Experience Should Include

  • 2+ years of experience in Vena, IT, or business systems analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Vena and Vena Copilot for planning, reporting, and automation.
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Business Central, including chart of accounts, reporting dimensions, and data hierarchies as well as how they integrate with Vena.
  • Experience with system integration, data management, and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience working with global teams and understanding international financial regulations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications for predictive analytics and process optimization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Enablement
  • Collaborate with Finance department to design and maintain Vena templates, models, and workflows for budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis aligned with Finance structures (COA, dimensions, hierarchies).
  • Data Integration & Management
  • Collaborate with Finance and the IT Development team to build and monitor data pipelines between Vena, Dynamics 365, and other sources to ensure timely, accurate, and reconcilable data.
  • Implement validation and reconciliation checks to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Reporting & Close
  • Collaborate with Finance and the Development Team to ensure reporting solutions (Excel, Power BI) meet business requirements and support decision-making.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering for reporting needs and validate outputs against business expectations.
  • Support month-end close processes by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance data accuracy.
  • Requirements Gathering & Delivery
  • Elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Configure solutions, plan and execute UAT, and coordinate go-lives.
  • Track work using Azure DevOps and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Vena Copilot & AI Enablement
  • Leverage Vena Copilot for natural language analysis, insights generation, and automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Co-design AI-driven workflows with Finance to improve forecast accuracy and speed.
  • Training & Support
  • Provide training and ongoing support to Finance SMEs and end-users.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance user experience.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Identify and recommend process and system enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, to drive innovation.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
  • Facilitate communication between Finance, IT, and external vendors.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships across departments to align technology solutions with business objectives.
