**Job Title:**Oil Production Technician
**Department:**Operations – Oil Product Processing
**Reporting to:**Team Lead
Position Summary: The Oil Production Technician is responsible for supporting the production, refinement, and packaging of cannabis oil products in a GMP-compliant facility. This role works closely with the Team Lead to ensure all products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards set by Health Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform oil processing activities including refinement, dilution, and packaging (e.g., bottled oil, capsules)
- Operate production equipment such as rotary evaporators, mixers, and filling machines
- Accurately measure, calculate, and prepare product formulations
- Maintain batch records and ensure accurate documentation
- Follow all SOPs, GMP standards, and safety protocols
- Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas
- Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in a production, food, pharmaceutical, or cannabis environment is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to follow strict procedures and work in a regulated environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
- Must pass a mathematical assessment
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding role (lifting up to 25 kg / 55 lbs, standing for extended periods)
- Exposure to strong odours, bright lighting, and humid environments
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
