About the role
Join us for a steady, flexible one day per week bookkeeping role supporting two feel good organizations: the Sport & Social Clubs in Edmonton and Calgary, where thousands of adults play in recreational leagues and tournaments, and Calgary’s top ranked Nurse Next Door franchise, a leader in private home healthcare.
In this part-time position, you’ll manage or support expense reconciliation, payroll, and other core bookkeeping tasks. You’ll work closely with our full-time Accounting Manager and our CEO to keep finances running smoothly and step in for payroll coverage during vacations or sick days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping processes using Sage 50 (Sport & Social Club) and QuickBooks (Nurse Next Door).
- Support our Accounting Manager in processing payroll.
- Organize and pay invoices weekly, and post debit/credit card receipts.
- Perform special projects as required
Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping certificate/diploma from SAIT or similar institution is required
- Willing to work out of the NND and CSSC office (4411 6 St SE) one day per week.
- Experience with QuickBooks and Sage 50
- Experience with payroll processing
- High attention to detail
- Organized and efficient
- Strong in math and working with numbers
- Intelligent
- Respectful
- Takes pride in all tasks

The Calgary Sport & Social Club was founded in 1996 and the Edmonton Sport & Social Club opened its doors 10 years later. The Clubs were started based on a rising need: adult Calgarians and Edmontonians love to play sports and have fun! The goal of the SSC is to encourage as many people as possible to ‘get in the game’. Whether players have no skill, or a lot of skill, as long as they want to join in the ‘fun-first, winning-second’ mentality, they will fit right in! With a large variety of leagues, tournaments and events throughout the year, the SSC offers something for everyone.
