THE ROLE The Function Coordinator plans, organizes and coordinates NPP functions for the Base and determines and arranges client's food and beverage requirements and use of facilities. You coordinate staff requirements for functions and oversee the protocol, table settings and arrangements, seating plans, special menus and beverage requirements for the dining room.
Qualifications Needed Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in hospitality, food service management, or a related field AND several years of experience in hospitality, food and beverage service sector
AND
Certification relating to special events, meetings or conference management, an asset
Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification, as required
Experience In coordinating hospitality services
In organizing banquets and functions
In inventory and bar management
In preparing marketing strategies
In managing facilities
In budget administration
In personnel administration
In applying policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
Skills And Abilities LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset

Oral: Functional
