$56,086 to $102,894

NATURE OF THE WORK
THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST WILL BE REQUIRED TO:
- Perform duties relating to the development of the objectives and guidelines of the occupational therapy services;
- Have consideration for the general administrative and educational policies in effect at the level of the school or the level of head office;
- Be responsible for the application of these policies;
- Participate in case studies within a multidisciplinary team;
- Ensure that support is available for those requiring assistance in the understanding and teaching of students presenting with special learning needs;
- Work closely with school teams in the development of adapted instructional activities for ongoing implementation in the classroom;
- Support the needs of students with significant challenges, such as by helping to determine methods for alternate assessment;
- Prepare school teams for the diversification of the teaching skills that are required to teach students presenting with special learning needs
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Be a member of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec
- A mastery of the English language and the ability to function effectively in French.
- Ideally, some experience working in the educational (or related) field.
