Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
A Community Safety Clerk provides clerical and administrative support services for the Community Safety Department including direct communication with the public, external agencies and other clients.
Duties - Union

Receives, records, responds to and/or refers enquiries and complaints; investigates and resolves customer queries.

Creates, inputs, updates, and maintains various paper and electronic records, including website updates, computer reports and Service Requests, in support of Community Safety operations or referral to other City departments and external agencies.

Provides administrative support, including booking appointments and ordering of supplies.

Completes financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable, receivable and credit card items.

Displays a working knowledge of bylaws, procedures, policies, court processes and the Local Government Act.

Researches and compiles information, develops, organizes, and maintains department filing and bring forward systems.
