JOB OPPORTUNITY – RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Description
Peters & Co. is currently seeking to hire a highly self-motivated and energetic individual to join our Research Department. A successful candidate will be involved with the coverage of public energy companies and industry analysis. The successful candidate will develop or already have advanced skills in financial modeling as well as a strong understanding of financial statement analysis and valuation methods.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following:
- Accounting, Finance or Engineering oriented undergraduate degree;
- Experience in the financial, accounting and/or energy sector;
- Professional designation or working towards one (CFA, CPA, and/or PEng);
- A proactive and positive attitude in a demanding work space;
- Programming, database and software skills considered an asset;
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools;
- Experience with technical software such as geoSCOUT considered an asset;
- Strong leadership, work ethic, and motivation;
- Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines;
- Strong attention to detail; and
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
