Job Description:

Note: These are part-time temporary Faculty positions. Start and end dates to be determined.

The Lawrence Kinlin School of Business is looking to build a pool of applicants to fill vacancies as they arise, succession plan, and expand our current part-time faculty team. Having fresh ideas and diverse experience is essential to ensuring our programs continue to be vibrant and meet industry needs.

We require faculty qualified to teach at the introductory through advanced levels of study across the following areas:

  • Financial accounting
  • Accounting Theory
  • Audit
  • Data management & analytics
  • Accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Caseware)

A part-time Professor at Fanshawe College is responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students. Successful candidates will teach courses in the Accounting Programs in the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus, as required.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
  • Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
  • Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
  • CPA professional designation is required
  • Minimum of five years related professional experience
  • A master’s degree in accounting would be considered an asset
  • Superior communication, team building and leadership, and computer skills are expected
  • Experience in online learning environments would be an asset
  • Prior teaching experience in an academic setting is an asset
