Product Security Analyst Intern
Safe Software is looking for a Product Security Analyst Intern to join our Integrations development team. This is a four-month, full-time placement with opportunity for extension.
Our student internships have the opportunity to be hybrid/on-premise at our office based in Surrey, BC, Canada. In order to provide the best onboarding and mentorship experience, this position will require the intern to work on-premise at least 2 days per week at our office based in Surrey, BC, Canada. The remaining 3 days can be worked remotely from home.
About The Team
At Safe Software, the Product Security team plays a vital role in safeguarding our products and maintaining customer trust. We partner across engineering to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle—from defining secure coding practices to managing vulnerabilities and overseeing supply chain risk. We also lead developer enablement programs, ensure compliance with industry standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001, and drive adoption of automated security testing. Our team fosters a strong security culture that supports innovation without compromise.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Product Security Analyst Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Assist with monitoring, triaging, and tracking product vulnerabilities.
- Build/enhance/maintain automations and scripts to streamline security tasks.
- Contribute to projects that support secure development and compliance.
- Grow your Git and coding skills in a collaborative, real-world software environment.
- Learn how security integrates into the software development lifecycle.
- Work alongside great people who genuinely care about your wellbeing.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
