About the role

We're seeking a highly experienced Product Portfolio Manager to lead TELUS Health’s Defined Benefit Pension and Group Annuity Administration portfolio across North America—owning the vision, multi year roadmap, and investment priorities that shape our platform and modernization strategy. Partner with senior leaders across Product, Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Delivery, and Sales to deliver secure and compliant market-leading solutions across Canada and the U.S.

About the Mission

For nearly three decades, we've been pioneering fully automated administration services through our Ariel platform, helping corporations, government organizations, and multi-employer plans deliver world-class pension and benefits programs. We're not just managing data—we're securing people's futures, one innovative solution at a time.

The Product Portfolio Manager will provide end-to-end portfolio leadership across our Pension Administration and Group Annuity Administration product lines for North America.

This role is accountable for portfolio level vision, strategy, prioritization, and investment alignment across multiple products and platforms. The Product Portfolio Manager ensures that product strategies are coherent, scalable, compliant, and aligned with TELUS Health’s long term business objectives, while supporting modernization and migration initiatives across clients and markets.

This is a senior, strategically focused role, reporting to the Head of Product and Architecture, that operates above individual product execution, with significant influence on platform direction, risk management, and capital investments.

What you’ll do

Portfolio Vision & Strategy

  • Define and maintain a unified portfolio vision across DB Pension, and Group Annuity Administration solutions.
  • Develop and govern multi‑year portfolio roadmaps, ensuring alignment with RBS business strategy and North American market needs.
  • Establish portfolio‑level investment priorities, and product lifecycle profitability, balancing regulatory compliance, innovation and platform modernization, client commitments, and operational sustainability.
  • Work collaboratively with Software Product Managers to define and execute on our roadmap.

Product & Platform Alignment

  • Ensure consistency and alignment across product strategies, architectures, and delivery approaches within the portfolio.
  • Drive standardization and reuse across platforms to reduce fragmentation and complexity across the product suite and deployment to our various market segments, while managing short and long‑term product risk.
  • Partner closely with Architecture and Engineering leaders to translate portfolio strategy into target‑state platform direction.

Modernization, Migration & Scale

  • Provide portfolio approval of solutions and oversight for large-scale client migrations, platform upgrades, and modernization programs.
  • Define portfolio level readiness gates, success criteria, and governance checkpoints for major initiatives.
  • Ensure lessons learned from migrations and implementations are applied consistently across all products.

Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as a senior product leader for executive stakeholders across Product, Technology, Delivery, Operations, Sales, and Client organizations.
  • Support client and market facing product positioning related to roadmap, modernization, and platform direction.
  • Communicate complex portfolio topics clearly to senior leadership, enabling informed decision making.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure portfolio strategies align with regulatory, audit, privacy, and security requirements across Canada and the US.
  • Identify and proactively manage portfolio‑level risks related to scalability, coupling, data integrity, and support models.
  • Define and monitor portfolio health metrics, including platform stability, modernization progress, and delivery risk.

What you bring:

Education & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Portfolio Management, or Platform Leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in Defined Benefit Pension, Group Annuity, insurance, or regulated financial services.
  • Proven success leading multi‑product portfolios in complex, enterprise environments.
  • Experience overseeing modernization and large-scale migration programs involving legacy and multi‑tenant platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with North American regulatory and compliance environments.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to think and operate at portfolio and enterprise scale.
  • Strong judgment in prioritization and trade‑off decision‑making.
  • Executive‑level communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Comfortable operating in matrixed organizations with distributed ownership models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with public and private sector and clients.
  • Background partnering closely with Architecture or Technology leadership.
  • Experience defining governance models across product portfolios.
