Location: Exeter, Devon Shifts: Days & Nights - 08:00-20:00 & 20:00-08:00 Pay Rates (including holiday pay): Days: £18.56 per hour Nights: £20.83 per hour Weekends: £23.07 per hour At Thornbury Community Services, we believe everyone deserves the chance to live life to the fullest. Why This Role Matters
Joining Thornbury means being part of something bigger - giving people the chance to live with dignity, choice, and joy despite complex health needs. In this role, you are supporting an adult male with a spinal injury to live independently in the community. An ideal candidate will have experience with spinal injuries in adults, with an enthusiastic & compassionate approach to care. You will require a manual driving license & support our client with a busy schedule/routine including days out in the community.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking healthcare assistants who are:
- Compassionate and resilient, with a genuine passion for person-centered care.
- Experienced in UK care (minimum 12 months).
- Skilled in key areas such as: Exposure to clinical complex care Personal care Manual handling Your Benefits as a TCS Healthcare Assistant We value our team and offer a package designed to support your career and wellbeing:
- 24/7 Support: Clinical and operational teams available whenever you need them.

- Upskilling & Training: Access refresher courses and specialist practical training. Shadow shifts and sign offs from a qualified nurse.

What we do Trusted by Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), case managers and private clients across England and Wales, we help children and adults with complex conditions leave hospital within the timescales they want and can provide short-term interim support following a package breakdown until a longer-term provider is sourced.
