What are you waiting for? Apply today! Role Responsibilities The Sclerotherapy Nurse's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensuring the rooms are completely stocked to physicians needs. Perform necessary administrative tasks. Maintain product and service knowledge to effectively educate clients and staff. Expert user of EMR system, resource for staff inquiries. Ensure the U-Experience is being well executed on the floor. Follow clinic protocols to ensure no medical or clerical errors are made. Participate in trainings for Sclerotherapy as required. Set up for clinic daily, check the day of schedule set up for other procedures as needed. Perform new patient intakes and consult with patients and physician regarding an appropriate course of treatment. Assist the physician by drawing up the necessary medications for treatments and assisting in sclerotherapy, Ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, cosmetic procedures and treatments (Botox, lidocaine, doctor specific solutions) as well as dermatology procedures. Provide education on compression and fit patients for compression socks. Monitor patients for any reaction/allergy and provide appropriate care during the patient’s recovery period. Respond to patient telephone calls regarding medical conditions and emergencies. Educate patients and/or their families about preventative care, medical issues and the use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications. Document the activity and effectiveness of the patients treatment plan through photos and notes. Maintain the highest skill level for the safest and most effective delivery of treatment according to CLPNA accepted clinical guidelines. Help implement new policies and improve current clinic practices. Additional duties as required by management team. Role Qualifications 1-5 years of Sclerotherapy experience or in a similar role is required. LPN Diploma from an accredited institution. Current registration with applicable provincial licensing body. Current CPR certification. Two (2) years private or public practical nursing experience. Experience with MedAccess an asset. Knowledge of medical safety protocols and patient care standards.
