About the role
About The Opportunity Public Sector client has an immediate requirement for two (2) Junior Procurement Officers. These resources will provide support in completing procurement files.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Local Procurement Officer Materiel Acquisition
- Coordinate requests/remand from clients
- Make purchases of various products and services on behalf of customers
- Select the most appropriate product with the customer (if applicable)
Compliance
- Follow the Procurement Administration Manual
- Adhere to contracting policies
- Monitor purchase orders
- Ensure agreed-to-price rates are in line with normal market conditions
Reporting
- Creating reports for the management team (>$25k procurement files)
- Report problematic acquisitions to supervisor for further investigation
About You The successful candidates will have the following:
Education and Training
- Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant work experience
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience with procurement over $25K within the past 5 years
- Minimum 6 months of experience with IT hardware and software procurement
Language Requirements
- English Essential (Intermediate Oral, Advanced Comprehension, Intermediate Written)
Security Clearance
- Reliability Status (or eligibility to obtain)
