About the role
Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direct supervision of the Manager, F&B, this position is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment and utensils including all dishes, glasses and cookware, maintaining all company standards and adhering to all safety and hygiene policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcome work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Organizes, rinses, sprays and loads dishwasher; washes by hand if necessary
- Examines completed loads for cleanliness; re-washes if necessary
- Reports any malfunctions, breakage or discrepancies to the appropriate mana ger
- Stores all clean items in the appropriate area
- Sorts and removes garbage and recycling
- Cleans all general kitchen areas including floors, counters and workspaces; may clean general or common areas in some locations
- Assists with the receipt of goods into the work area; stock shelves
- Prepares some food products as requested
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education And Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 6 months of work experience
- Food Safety Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal customer expectation s through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular kitchen environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, odors, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, non-traditional work hours
