Package CAD Engineer 2 The Person The candidate is an experienced Package CAD Engineer that has excellent communication & project management skills and can complete the design task with least supervision. He/she must be able to work on a fast phase environment and collaborate well with others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Netlist Management: Oversee the creation, validation, and maintenance of netlists for semiconductor package designs. Ensure that netlists are accurate and up-to-date throughout the design process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, layout engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the netlist aligns with design requirements and specifications.
  • Validation and Verification: Conduct thorough checks and validation of netlists to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Optimization: Identify opportunities for netlist optimization to improve design efficiency and performance. Implement best practices for netlist management and optimization.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of netlist changes, validation processes, and optimization efforts. Ensure that all documentation is accessible and up-to-date.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders regarding netlist-related issues and inquiries.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in semiconductor package design. Propose and implement improvements to netlist management processes.
  • Design Setup for CM, PLVS, and Library: Be a key owner in setting up constraint manager, supporting package layout v. schematic (PLVS), and updating the package design production library.

Preferred Experience

  • Netlist experience for 2.5/3D packaging architectures
  • Experienced in advanced packaging architectures
  • Strong understanding of Signal Integrity and power integrity principles and impact on design intent for Netlisting
  • Knowledge on using CAD Layout tools such as Cadence SIP, APD 23.1, First Encounter, ICC2, 3DICC or other Packaging or Silicon Physical Layout Software.
  • Knowledge on Python, Perl or Skill Script Programming are a must
  • Experience with Verilog

Academic Credentials

  • B.A. Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Engineering Science
  • BS +1 years or MS
