About the role
Key responsibilities include:
- Organize, direct and co-ordinate the operations of the Home Centre ensuring an acceptable level of contribution.
- Work closely with department managers to maintain an effective team with appropriate staffing, training and development.
- Provide guidance with regard to location business planning, budgeting and goal setting as they align to the overall retail goals and objectives.
- Provide operational direction and supporting the implementation of programs and policies. Apply a broad-based level of operational knowledge, commodity direction and managerial skills to achieve established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
Who you are:
- You have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- You have 5+ years of retail management experience.
- You have experience in project estimation and lumber procurement.
- You have building materials experience and knowledge of home and building supplies.
- You are able to work well with minimal supervision.
- You have a proven ability to solve problems and develop credible relationships with team leaders, team members and other stake holders. You’re aligned with our Values.
