Situated on 25-acres, the property is surrounded by mature trees and overlooks the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve Niagara Escarpment and ski hills of Blue Mountain Resort. Special attention to detail takes guests on a relaxation journey that augments health and wellness.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations at Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient functioning of pools, saunas, steam rooms, HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical infrastructure, relaxation areas, and all facility components.
Additionally, the Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in supporting seamless guest experiences and ensures the facility remains in optimal working condition.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all systems and facilities are maintained to the highest operational and safety standards.
- Providing leadership to the Maintenance Team.
- Managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Leading large scale projects.
- Overseeing and managing budgets.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance management, ideally in hospitality, spa, resort, or facility operations.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Experience with pool systems, water treatment, and aquatic maintenance.
- Strong technical aptitude across multiple building system disciplines.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing a technical team;- with strong communication and team building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills: - ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent problem solving abilities and capacity to remain calm under pressure.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Salary
- $28.85 / hour
