We’re looking for an Employee Relations Partner to join our team and lead the way in managing employee relations cases, supporting payroll and benefits, and driving best practices across our people programs.

The What... Here’s some of what you can expect as part of the role…

  • Manage and support employee relations (ER) cases across all centres, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with laws and policies.
  • Coach and guide management teams on grievance, disciplinary, and misconduct processes.
  • Provide ER training and support to leaders and teams where needed.
  • Receive, investigate, and respond to employee concerns and Compliance & Ethics Hotline cases in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with People Partners on restructuring, reorganizations, and ongoing ER issues in their regions.
  • Prepare documentation for ER cases, including invite/outcome letters and confirmation of employment letters.
  • Report on ER trends, cases, and insights to leadership, and partner with legal on high-risk issues.
  • Stay current on employment law changes and ensure policies and practices remain compliant.
  • Manage compliance-related tasks such as subject data access requests, accident/WSIB reporting, and risk management.
  • Support HR programs by coordinating payroll, benefits, and talent administration.

The Who… The be a successful Employee Relations Partner, you’ll have:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR, specifically managing ER cases
  • Certification in HR is an asset
  • Strong understanding of all provincial employment law (specifically Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia)
  • Experience supporting a multi site, hospitality environment (hospitality experience preferred)
  • ER professional with a clear understanding of a broad range of HR
  • Excellent time management skills: you must be self-motivated and can prioritize own workload
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills along with flexibility and the ability to manage multiple and complex tasks
  • Excellent relationship, communication and rapport building ability with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge or experience working in similar hospitality company/industry an asset
