We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager with precast concrete experience and CPCQA knowledge to lead and oversee our quality assurance program.
Position Overview
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring all precast concrete products meet CPCQA requirements, internal quality standards, and applicable industry specifications. This role will oversee quality control procedures, manage inspections and testing, maintain certification compliance, and work closely with production and management teams to ensure consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the CPCQA quality management system and ensure ongoing compliance with CSA.A23.2
- Manage plant quality control processes for all precast concrete products.
- Coordinate and conduct product testing, inspections, and documentation.
- Maintain quality records and prepare documentation for CPCQA audits and inspections.
- Ensure materials, production processes, and finished products meet industry standards and specifications.
- Train and supervise QC personnel and support production staff with quality procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve production quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Work closely with plant management and project teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in precast concrete manufacturing or construction materials.
- Strong knowledge of CSA-A23.2 standards and certification requirements.
- Experience managing quality control programs in a manufacturing or precast environment.
- Understanding of concrete mix designs, testing procedures, and production processes.
- Experience with quality audits, inspections, and documentation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with production teams and management.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPCQA certification or previous experience working within a CPCQA-certified plant.
- Background in civil engineering, construction management, or materials engineering.
- Experience with structural precast products and infrastructure projects.
- ACI/PCI Level 1 and 2
